Led by the Kirby Institute at UNSW Sydney and Flinders University International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing, with funding from the Commonwealth Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, this groundbreaking program is scaling up point-of-care HCV RNA testing across Australia.
We've established a national network of sites that deliver rapid point-of-care hepatitis C testing in settings serving people at the highest risk of infection. This is the first program internationally to implement point-of-care HCV RNA testing at scale, providing critical evidence on how this approach can accelerate treatment uptake and reduce HCV prevalence.
Our network reaches priority populations identified in national and state hepatitis strategies, including people who inject drugs and/or are accessing drug treatment programs, people who previously injected drugs, people in custodial settings and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We do whatever we can to help them finish their pills." Meet the Hepatitis Queensland team removing every barrier to hepatitis C cure—through patience, communication, and drop-in accessibility.
